Last year I started using a WaterRower I bought years ago. I did the beginner Pete Plan and now follow his "routine" plan. Still getting PRs! I do find it quite boring though, but I make it through because I'm proud of my continued progress.

Try to do 500 meters in 90 seconds. You don't notice it until about 30-45 seconds in and then it's murder.
I've done it in 1:31 and yeah holy shit the 500s
Great stuff brother. Once form is worked out its nice/fun to compete against your own records. I do find most cardio to be quite boring, but strangely have never had that problem with rowing (or trail running) . I usually sprint for 20 to 30 minutes and cruise for an extra 20 minutes 6x per week
