To me vigilante justice is going out looking for criminals to bust up. I can't embrace that, too much room for abuse and mistakes. But if you mean beating the shit out of a shoplifter you're witnessing steal, or killing an intruder or other threat, no, not vigilante justice, just being a good neighbor and citizen.
