I worked with a guy who did. He seemed just happy with the outcomes of it. When there was a health issue in my family, he gave me a card with a prayer on it. I appreciated the sentiment and took it. Things started to deteriorate quickly. It didn't click for a few weeks but once it did, I burned the note and life went back to normal.

It basically comes down to the theory that demons can only act on the world through the willing or weak minded. So basically any ritual xan work, as long as the person believes it'll work and willingly open themselves up to spiritual entities. It can be a seance, desecrating bodies, or a putting on a demonic concert on TV in front of millions of people.
