It's a white man's sport for sure, but has it be overcome by consumerism and pop culture? I have not played since I was in my 20's but was thinking I'd get back into it.

The whole LIV vs PGA is interesting as well, rich sandniggers/oilniggers are throwing money at the pro sports side and it seems like the normies are not down with that?

I enjoy golf as both a casual player and casual spectator.

I couldn't tell you how to get great cause I'm only ok myself, but it's a fun activity to do with friends that you can basically do your whole life as even with age and injury you can change your swing and style of play and still emit and even improve. Also easily built for friendly competition for all skill levels playing playing with handicap formal or adhoc.

As for watching I enjoy it. Especially in person since in all but the biggest events you have plenty of opportunity to walk the course and enjoy it yourself (not stuck sitting for several hours) and get right up close to your favorite players (as opposed to paying for what is often a worse view than tv in other sports).

As for LIV vs PGA: No reasonable person "likes" the Arabs. But it's all PR, cause a start up league is taking on the PGA which has effectively Shays had a monopoly. PGA screams "how can you support a league affiliates with the Saudis?" Well how many of their sponsors do deals with China, or have business with Aramco themselves, etc. Keys not pretend anyone in big dollar business is somehow the mortality pillar here. Besides I kinda figure better for the Saudis to pay Americans and Euros to bring a decent part of our culture to them and maybe influence them than to turn their money down and iscolate them to their own filth. I've watched a couple LIV events. And they're not bad for an upstart league.

Yeah the Saudi hate is so NPC like though, like supporting Ukraine. I heard that the PGA has infused a bunch more $$ into this season.
