It's confusing to me because literally every single one is a $110k- senior level position. I just need a job to 'get back in the market'. It doesn't matter what it is so long as it's real. I can work myself up from within the same company, get raised to a senior level pay or just bounce to another company from there. But literally there seems to be no non senior level positions. I'm all over kill for them, but I guess because of my "2 year gap" and what'll even be worse, maybe no references that'll answer the phone anymore, they're going to demote me to "entry level" jobs. But there are none. They won't even let me offer half pay for the same job.

Bump the date or add a 2 year, now out of business, personal consulting company.

I've thought about just saying I was let go 2 months ago. Then letting them figure out if it's really a big deal after they gave a rigorous interview set of stages. It's not like I'm lieing about ever being there or anything else, just how long, and 10 years over 8 is rather insignificant.

In the worst case I get some interview experience and learn it actually was an issue, and they also get a punishment for making a big enough deal out of it to not hire after already being ecstatic about hiring and going through the interview processes. Best case they don't even check or end up not caring.
