I was doing Mechanical Turk surveys for fun. One of these surveys I was doing was from a Canadian college and they downloaded something onto my Google Chrome browser. I had a select a color using my keys. So if the color was green on the screen I would select g color red, r key. I probably have a key logger on my computer now and I'm trying to figure out how to get it off. I tried to use the timestamp feature but apparently I didn't partition this correctly so it won't work and I can't go back 1 1/2 hrs. You guys have any idea how I can dig up this downloaded bullshit from the survey and snuff it out. I'm remote so I really don't want to reinstall if I don't have to because it's going to be tricky to try to convince a library I'm not going to be putting underage porn on their computer with a thumb drive. Any ideas? Btw I'm kinda of computer retarded if you haven't noticed.

I am betting if you have an issue that it is confined to your browser as an extension. If Chrome try resetting your settings to disable all extensions.

This. Your normal user account won't have permissions to install anything at the system level .

Well if that's the case then couldn't I just delete Chrome and reinstall it? Wouldn't that kill it as well? I really use Brave on there more than anything else but when I do banking and these surveys I use chrome.

Brave is a chrome browser. See if it has a reset settings feature.

Browser uninstall will not get personal settings.

I used Google for this not brave. I use brave to watch streams and listen to jewtub

What makes you think you have a keylogger?

I'm not sure. Just they downloaded some shit to my browser it looked like and I had to match colors on the web page to corresponding keys. It probably doesn't work like that but I'm not sure it doesn't work like that either.

I think your fine. For a browser to get your input, you don't need a key logger.

Go to ~/.local/share and delete chrome stuff for fresh start
