Say what? no it's not. Zinc is great for your immune system in general.
You don't take zinc everyday unless in tiny amounts, and that's unnecessary because it's in your food.
No fucking way taking a 50 mg pill every day is a good idea. Look into zinc toxicity.
Zinc stops RNA viruses from replicating in cells when taken with a Zinc ionophore. The reason to take zinc is to kill a cold of the flu fast. It's not a daily vitamin.

Too much zinc is bad.
Some vitamins you can take a shit ton of, like vitamin C.
Some you have to be careful about, zinc is one of them.
Vit D is another one that you can’t just take a shit ton of for long periods of time.
But the safe limits for zinc are much lower than that of vitamins like c and d.
If you overdose on zinc, one thing that can happen is that you lose your sense of taste and smell permanently.
Taking a zinc supplement isn’t a bad thing, just stay within safe limits.
What are the safe limits? I've been taking a zinc supplement as a prophylactic against colds/flu and to help increase T levels.
Heck I take vitamin D too, but only twice a week as I know it's one of the fat soluble one. I had chronic fatigue and this cleared it right up.
