I wouldn't gift a commemorative coin, a one ounce silver round .999 fine . I always thought that someday they would be worth something, in the mid 80s I bought about 50 of them for 8 bucks apiece, now they are worth about 23 bucks apiece. not much gain in almost 40 years. The gangster government keeps precious metals in check to keep the $$ solid.
