So Target just announced $400m in losses last year due to shoplifting. Fuck them anyhow because they're so woke, but I digress.

You know who doesn't have to worry about shoplifting? Amazon!

Shoplifting forces local stores to close or increase costs to cover the losses. That's why they encourage and enable it.

What happens when prices get high or stores close? People shop online..... at Amazon.

Amazon handles no cash so it's a perfect segue to the cashless central bank digital currency. More money for Amazon and Washington Post crony Bezos too.

Amazon and online shopping is already all digital and cashless. Now they just have to squeeze the local brick and mortar stores to push their agenda to track and control every transaction.

Ok, that's all, carry on!

Solid chance that the petty theft laws are designed to weaken physical storefronts, but they don’t need stores to close in order to normalize digital currency. Stores will already accept digital currency if you have a card that says Visa on it
