Yeah I have one that has a hole in the finger. That was one of my favorites too. The hole started because I was moving really heavy rocks.

Battery acid sucks. I was using the "wrong" pair when doing some work and it ate holes in one of my favorite "low-duty" pairs. I dont think they make them anymore. Oh well.
