Got this just a bit ago:

"Hi stupidbird, this is Anna with jobrecruiter. I found your resume on ziprecruiter and I'd like to call you about a low-rent job that's so far below your skill level that it's not going to pay anywhere near what you're making. What's a good time to call?"

My reply:

"Hi Anna, I don't have a resume on ziprecruiter, if there's one there it's been placed without my permission. Can you send me a link?"

No reply of course, and I haven't used that email address in about two years due to it being in one of the many, many LinkedIn breaches. Why would you start out a contact with a direct lie? I realize it's a template but still. It makes you look really bad and lazy and I certainly don't want to speak with you.

Because they are trying to "buy" top quality asset for the lowers price they can.

Had an online job interview with the "big company" today. According to the interview guy, everything went great and they will find a suitable position for my skills and give me an official job offer within the next few days. So far I only had face to face interviews and they would tell me on the spot if I got it or not, is this some new crap they do now?

This isn't even an interview, this is just the recruiter and yes, it's very common. Been that way for a long time.

I still get emails saying that "Here's a position, we also called and left a voicemail..."

Bitch, modern phones record all calls. You didn't call.

I guess I'll keep looking then. Hate these videocall interviews, can't really tell what you are getting yourself into if you can't see how their office is organized and how managers are carrying themselves.

I've been fortunate to not have any of those.
