My favorite part about fuel prices going up is how everything goes up in price: then when fuel goes back down everything stays expensive
...diesel has gone from 5.10 to 5.70 just this week.
And the mainstream will wring their hands and wonder 'why, oh why' does this happen? Then buy the same things from the same companies. And send their kids to the same schools. And support the same causes and parties. And wait two years and vote for the same people...

A little after new years, because that's when Republicans take control of the house. Dems will fight lowering gas prices non stop then blame republicans for everything. The 2022 mid terms showed average voters have no memory, they'll forget $5/gal gas and "just buy an electric car!" and gladly blame republicans for it.
Watch this over the next few weeks:
They're already on their way up. Jumped 25 cents near me. I think the gas and diesel from the strategic petroleum reserves finally ran out Wednesday.
