There's not much 8k content. Moving it over the internet is extremely slow and requires very high bandwidth.
Even with 4k, there isn't a lot of content. And you're likely to pay a premium for it without a visual improvement.
If you get a TV, treat it as a dumb device. Do not connect it to your network. They are very commonly used as surveillance devices. They monitor discussions in the room/house and report everything you watch and consume. If you're getting a TV, get something else from which you can stream your content, and then attach it to your TV.
Good answer. I know Samsung is one of the worst for surveillance (thus the lower prices). Currently, I don't even have cable, just a digital antenna. But I want a tv with a quality picture.
