The dog is after everything that comes into the yard, squirrels, rats, mice, gophers, pigeons, blue jays, no rabbits, yet. Luckily she does not bring them into the house, She is quite loud generally but if she has been quiet for 20 minutes, likely she caught herself a snack.
Does your dog actually CATCH squirrels? They are notorious for taunting and teasing, then zipping up a tree out of reach. Annoying little bottle-brush tail rats that deserve to be taught a lesson.
Yes. it is a sight to see, she will lay down under a tree with a squirrel and wait for it to be with in pouncing distance. It's the same with gophers, she will sit in the mound of holes still as a statue waiting for one to pop up in the holes in-front of her. Never had a dog like her, I may get another Anatolian to see if she is normal or just a one off.
