The claims that we are second hand beneficiaries of the tech is suspect too. Germans created a lot of great tech and us needed a way to rebrand it for American audiences.
It's more likely it was a psyop Vs the Soviets in the arms race for ICBMs. If you can land a missile on the moon you can land a nuke in Moscow.

We don't need to have "we Wuz moonwalkers n sheit" the way niggers need to have "we wuz kangz" because our race accomplished just about every single other relevant feat in human history. We have soany impressive feats to be proud of to begin with that I don't need a fake one to have any pride.
Id honestly be more disappointed if we did go to the moon and sat on our asses for the past 60 years afterwards than if the incredibly dishonest US govt did something dishonest.

The problem with the psyop argument is that the Soviet Union would have loved to prove that there wasn't a landing. And yet they have never refuted it.
They were in on it. The Cold War was only on paper, to give the people an enemy to hate and fear. Meanwhile, pols and defense contractors bled both countries near-dry.
I’ve seen old film clips of soviet scientists and cosmonauts basically laughing at our moon landing clips, saying they can’t believe how juvenile and obviously fake that they look and how surprised they are that we’d actually try to use that as our proof.
I don’t give enough of a fuck to find those clips for anyone, because just like people who believe in the official 9/11 story, that the pandemic wasn’t a plandemic, and that science can’t be bought, or those who cherry pick, “9/11 was a psyop, but NOT the moon landing or sandy hook!”, their EGOS call the shots, proof be damned.
Those of us who aren’t intellectually dishonest and who refuse to live our lives on our knees, have been shown in the last two years (at least) that science can be bought.

they didnt just rebrand german tech. the guy that built the v-2 for germany and his buddies got to keep designing and building their toys in the us and kept going bigger until the saturn which put plenty of shit up into space.
No doubt they had rockets go into space, i just think the moon landing was a psy-op. These are different arguments, 'did we put rockets into space' vs 'did we walk on the moon'. I went in circles arguing this with someone else last time so i will clarify: I think the moon landing was a hoax, i dont think rockets are a hoax.
