I know a decent amount. Took classes in high school. Picked up pimsleur discs, have some bilingual poetry - more in the European vein like Jorge Luis Borges... Seems they're pushing more ways different than that, besides immersion, but suppose I have a basis in fundamentals. Would be cool to be fluent, or read don quixote, or party with the cartel. Suggestions? May start with method of 1000 most popular Spanish words

Well, I was only looking at language learning. Other factors can make it untenable.

Those are precedents, procreation is the factor - therefore I learn the language, with pastelillos, etc
