Before cell phones, I had most of the numbers for my friends and family memorized. Even now, I can remember a friend's home number that I knew from elementary through high school; it's burned into my brain. Today, if I got in a jam, I only know my wife's number. I'm thinking maybe I should start tapping in the numbers for friends and family again instead of just tapping on their name so I can retrain my brain. Technology is making me feel like one of those dumb fat-fucks in the Wall-E movie.

I only have 2 contacts named in my personal phone. I have only been doing this for 3 months as a self memorization test. 'Work' phone has all my numbers labeled if I need them.

Well let's count them:

My number 911 411 611 867-5309 (for a good time call) (xxx) 555-1212 asterisk69 asterisk72 0

So... NEIN (9)

I had a beat up piece of paper with a bunch of phone numbers on it, and I kept it in my wallet.

Just two.

My parents number, and

My paternal grandmother's number, which I transferred to myself after she passed.

One, to my parents. All others are cell phone icons.

A lot. But then again I just have a weird knack for memorizing numbers

About a dozen, most of them being unused, I just remember them from my youth when you had to know them. My house, my grandmothers, fathers work phone, a local time and temperature line for whenever you had to set a clock, that kind of stuff. Current ones, wife's cell, couple work numbers, but not really any personal numbers

Same, a dozen or so, half from decades ago that I no longer use. I know as many IP addresses, the modern equivalent of phone numbers.

Pretty much all of the numbers I usually call, just family and work. I don't have these numbers saved, I just dial them out.

Still remember my very first phone number and address, every phone number and address we had after we moved a couple of times, my grandmother's number and address she had my entire life, parent's old work numbers... the phone number for "At the tone, the time will be..."

One. My old phone number I haven't had for at least three years.

4 and one of them doesn't work because it's from 40 years ago.
