I am so sorry to hear that friend! My parents tried something similar with me, but caved before long. I doubt I will ever truly forgive them for the time they kept me waiting before they changed their minds.

My parents did the same thing, I brought a computer into the room and let them Skype while we enjoyed family time without them.
