Mostly Canada stays out of Indian affairs these days, except for stuff like this. The UN wants the Indians to be self governing, and Canada signed off on that. This affair, however, is a criminal matter that has nothing to do with government, per say... ...since they found him dead, or killed him, the matter of a trial is neatly avoided.
