If I did something worthy of punishment I would want a trial and a traditional method of death like the guillotine. Beheading is symbolic and more threatening somehow, while remaining relatively humane. Do to others as you would have them do to you, even if you have to kill someone. Karma is real. You will reap what you sow.
Executions should be quick and without spectacle imho.
I personally would prefer firing squad to lethal injection. To me lethal injection is something for an old pet that's suffering , not for a man

Without spectacle? Firing squad with prisoner strapped to the post, squad marches to drum, drum stops, charges read, commander issues standard "ready, aim, fire", uses side arm to ensure lethal headshot, verifies no pulse, everyone is dismissed by drum. Still plenty of spectacle in a fairly standard execution via firing squad.
