Alcoholics do not "slip" into drinking again after a period of sobriety, they choose to drink again - the word "slip" waters down AA and it plants a seed in the alcoholic's head that if he drinks again, it'll be okay because, as to be expected, he slipped and every alcoholic does it so it's no big deal, even though there is an overwhelming majority of alcoholics who have stayed sober since the day they stopped drinking - A 'slip" is just another excuse to justify drinking again that's all.
