Do you execise? Get a heavy bag, learn to wrap your hands, watch some boxing howto videos. (videos are fine for getting started with footwork etc.). Go slow. Don't break your hands or wrists.
Change your body chemistry through brute force and then ride that wave until you get your head on straight. I'm serious.
I'm not currently where are but I've been there before. I used to travel when I got like that but, as they say, "Wherever you go ... there you are."
Yeah, I usually cycle 30-40 daily. Mix in some yoga at home. Some kettlebell stuff at home. And top rope climbing.
Fallen off the kettlebell and climbind during the last 2-3 weeks though.
Was looking at doing some sort of martial Arts of sorts, for fitness, fun, and to be better able to defend myaelf, but...with the job bs and motivation problem havent found the time for it.
But, yeah...exercise is pretty important....sure helpa towards being better.
I'm glad to hear you have exercise as a baseline. It has been so helpful to me at various points.
I'll get flamed for saying it here but if boxing ain't your thing another option which is extremely practical is Krav Maga. Practical in the sense that its brutal for self-defense purposes but because it will get you in amongst "our greatest allies" where you can verify the stereotypes and then not feel so bad about wielding them. As an example, some of the first few techniques in Krav are eye gouging and punching in the throat. Chicken-shit moves in an honorable fight but this is coming from a people that lacks honor and their foreign policy habits manifest in the "white belt" stage of their martial art.
