Why in the hell do most poor or non English speaking people use “speaker” when conducting a phone call?

I personally do not want to hear the blabber. Non-English is the worst. It might as well be a dog barking.

I pretty much exclusively use speakerphone when calling someone. Mostly so I don't have the EMF exposure. For longer calls it's a wired headset with the phone in a bag

But yeah I get your point, it is weird. I find it particularly strange when people conduct business while they're on speakerphone with someone. Like, what? Call them back!
