How can a beach attract so many NPCs?!

On a workday during the summer the beach seems to be full of NPCs who appear out of nowhere. Also all the men & women there all appear robotic and empty. There is a "nothingness" quality to them.

Its all fake.

Also the premise & nonsense of spending all day at a smelly dirty beach all so to discolour beautiful white skin is obscene.
