Today's school shooting in Texas...just another Tuesday. War in Ukraine. I know the leaders in the US will do something to make the situation worse but I don't care. Election in November is going to be rigged to the git. Don't care anymore.

I am supposed to be angry and outraged and want to do my part to help fix this but I am not. It's like I expect the next day to be worse than the last and I just don't care anymore. How do you get angry, concerned or even muster up the energy to care when the country isn't worth saving?

This is actually a good way to be. What you are is merely a spectator of life and its fine. Just try to keep enjoyment and wonder in your life and view all of the terrible stuff as just interesting aspects of life. We all feel bad about things like school shootings but for some of us its a very underwhelming feeling of compassion and sympathy. It doesn't make us bad people. Most people are this way, the difference being is most people fake outward emotional distress in order to fit in. They display what they think to be appropriate. If you can keep positive or at least remain content in life in the face of terrible realities you are living life the right way. Its not a defect.
