What? Dogs can stay in the house all day and not shit/piss. We used to bring our dogs in at night and let them out all day. Now we keep them out all night and bring them in during the hottest part of the day. I never have to carry shit. The dogs manage it themselves.

Dogs make a good companion for a child. If you get a good breed or a mix of good breeds and train it well your child is actually more safe if you ever do accidentally leave them unattended with the dog. Smart dogs have good instincts about traffic, water, strangers, snakes, boars, and children.
