Like most people I suppose , I'm not happy with my life , but a 70 degree sunny day , shit man what's not to love.

So I still enjoy some things in life , mostly natural beauty , outdoors stuff. So , am I really not happy ?

You are not doing good productive work.

Men need that

I do productive work

Producing for others or yourself?

Both

Productive work means a resulting tangible output that you can behold with pride.

Paper pushing or virtual products are make work from hell

I am an "essential " worker. If the job I and others do isn't done millions of people starve. My job actually matters , well the job I do matters , which is really nice , even on your crappy days at least you know it served a good purpose.

I was out of town this past week visiting family. No computer, very little phone browsing, basically detached from the daily shit-show on display from the boards I frequent. I was in a good mood the whole time. After coming back from those five days away, I was back to my cranky self after catching up on all the bullshit of the week. When they say 'ignorance is bliss' I'd have to agree. But, since I don't plan to live with my head in the sand, I'd say maybe find a few days down time from media and do something you enjoy. As I'm sure you're aware, camping is a great way to escape nignogs and you can annoy the soyboys you come across with your right-wing gear. I do enjoy my Let's Go Brandon t-shirt and the smiles and dirty looks it provokes.

tldr: Nobody sane is happy these days. You need the occasional distraction so it doesn't get overwhelming.

No shit. The reason everyone is angry is because they all get worked up, go out angry and pick fights. An EMP would solve everything.

"decompression." has that word been hijacked by the left, too?

You know what? I think it has. When I was writing my comment I considered using that word, but thought I'd sound like a pretentious libshit so found a different way to describe it.

it's most used in the military for the fellas returning from deployments. grunts and such would be made to decompress on base for a few days before going home.

When you change yourself you change the world.

we will forever be unhappy until we do what our destiny has called us to do. read "the lightning and the sun" and mein kampf. a lightbulb will go off and youll find your direction.

I wouldnt know. We went from 60 to 90 overnight.

You think you love the nice day? Wait until you love the one Who created it.

You love the natural beauty of a 70 degree sunny day but do you also love the natural beauty of a 47 degree silver-grey cloudy and showery day as well? It's always curious to me that people love natural beauty but only the select parts of nature they find beautiful. Is that cool, dimly lit and wet day that nature provided you not also beautiful? It's like what we did with plants. We gave the ones we like nice names and the rest are weeds or generic vegetation. We also name our least favorite plants, but we did that to mock them. We profess to love natural beauty, but we pick and choose what we call natural beauty.

Happiness is for us to choose what makes it up. Make your choices but leave nature to decide for itself what it gives you.

I don't have a car or a fancy raincoat to "enjoy" the rain. Fuck cloudy wet weather.

I love the different seasons

I'll take a blue sky of any temperature. That always improves my mood.

Happiness is over-rated. Strive for contentment, security, and well-being.

If you can't ever be happy at all, you may have a deeper issue, but what you're describing sounds like 99% of people in our modern technology-driven hell. If the modern world makes you feel like jumping for joy all the time, you're either insane or delusional or retarded, or maybe the perfect combination of all three. Or high, I guess.
