Years ago I bought a phone, shipping via fed ex. I specifically had it delivered to a package handling service because I didn't want the theft risk. the package was "delivered" and fed ex obtained a signature from the desk guy. I never got the package, Had to file a police report in order to get a refund. The police got a hold of the surveillance video. Turns out the fed ex delivery guy put the drop off packages on the desk. After counting, he snagged a few packages while the desk clerk signed. Police said that they often had issues of employees stealing packages, notably along fedex routes owned by a specific person.
