I mean nothing at all. Maybe we are not humans on a planet hurtling through space. Maybe we are not even individuals, maybe we are not even conscious.

Have you ever considered that true reality is completely different than what we see, hear and feel?

What you say is approaching what the ancients have said. All the highest teachings come to same conclusion: ultimate reality is emptiness. All phenoma are unborn and therefore are unceasing. There is neither the "illusionary" or the "real" but only what has been unwittingly fabricated by witnessing. There are no sensations. There are no conceptions. There are no sentient beings. There is not even "object" nor "observer".

All these apparant realities arise from fixation of attention. And the basis for all of these realities is emptiness. An emptiness which is even void of the conception of "void".

It is like viewing images in a mirror and forgetting you're watching a mirror (fixation). You recognize all manner of objects, changing, multiplying, disappearing (phenomena). You can't help but see them, they are "real". But of course, there are actually no objects there. However, the mirror itself is unchanging in all circumstances, regardless of what sensations are presented to you. Only the mirror (emptiness) has reality.
