I just read a poll that found that a majority of anti-gun citizens would flee the United States to another country if the US were to be invaded as the Ukraine has been by Russia. It got me to wondering, is there any way that we could get them to leave now? You know, just in case.

When a country is invaded, there are several types of residents in it:

  1. Refugees. The sorts of people who just want to live their lives and don't really give a shit about anything larger than their own immediate family. They grab whatever shit they can take with them and they GTFO. They probably came there originally for "economic reasons."

  2. Partisans. Patriots who take up arms and risk summary execution and even torture in the cause of liberating their nation from invaders.

  3. Quislings. Like the Vichy government of France, or the Kapos of the Warsaw Ghetto, these people are quite happy cleaving to the invaders at the expense of the fellow citizens who they turn in or who they use provisional-government influence against to supplant.

  4. Cowards. They're too scared to run away and become Refugees, and way too scared to take up arms against an invading army, so they just keep their heads down and start saluting the new flag.

  5. Stealth patriots. They pretend to be #4 type Cowards, but secretly they are #2 type Partisans or they provide material and logistic support to those Partisans.

The only ones worth a damn are #2 and #5. The rest really ought to be sterilized and sent to live on a farm in the country where they can run and play with the other cowards and quislings.
