Based on various genetic articles that I have read, I think that they are something like this:
50% middle-eastern jew 30% Italian 10% Slavic 10% khazar. Trace amounts of other European and non-European ancestry
Basically, jewish men arrived in the Roman Empire and married Italian women. Additional jews married the hybrids. Once their population was large enough (just a few generations) they stopped marrying Italians.
Then they scattered, making their way through the Netherlands and Germany to Slavic lands. Each generation they picked up a little ancestry from the locals, and since they lingered in the Slavic lands they picked up quite a bit.
Meanwhile khazar jews were pushed westward, eventually meeting up and mixing with the jews in the Slavic lands.
Ehhh. Nah. This may be true for Sephardic Jews, but Ashkenazi Jews often have light brown or reddish hair and are pale fucking White and pasty.
