Well, everything about them is so "on the nose," so patly in the mainstream media's narrative about the Right, that they raise red flags all over the place. There is the uniform appearance that sort of screams "cops LARPing." There is the obviously rehearsed weird neofascist behavior at their appearances that seems like only a bunch of government plants would not flinch at creating these obviously terrible optics. Frankly I haven't seen fake government domestic groups this shittily-faked since the Skinheads back in the Eighties who were mostly cops or Informants of some sort. Or the "revived KKK" that popped up a few decades ago, nearly 50 years after the KKK had been disbanded. Or the dudes who "plotted to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer."
