Some dialects of Ching Chong don’t have the “L” sound at all so their mouth muscles aren’t accustomed to that sound. L just switches to R. And Rs stay Rs.

The Chinese have trouble with their "r"s. They tend to turn the "r" into an "l". Thus, "Pork fried rice" becomes the ever-popular "Pork flied lice."

A Chinaman would pronounce "grill" as "glill."

They can get soft rs like in “pork”. They also have difficulty with hard Ls.

I’d imagine it would sound more like griwwl
