Everything this administration does is tiring. And it's all the same strategy where they unilaterally make these crazy rules that would have slim chance of ever being passed as a law. But they claim legal authority to do it, so everybody gets all worked up about it. Most complain, but go along with it anyhow, so the media campaign ramps up. And by time anyone suing the administration gets to the Supreme Court, they've gotten 90% of the way to their goal anyhow. At that point, it doesn't even matter if it's struck down by the SC or not because they've gotten what they wanted.
It's not just a childish game, it's flaunting the laws and making a complete mockery out of the separation of powers. In a sane world, the Supreme Court would start rescinding the implied powers that Congress has given the President. It's clearly gone too far at this point. The Executive branch needs to go back to the very narrow set of powers granted by the Constitution, and the Legislative branch needs to start doing their job and not passing thousands of pages of vague laws and leaving someone else to figure out the details.
