Your nation, your culture, your weapons, your material goods, your livelihood, your health, your children or at the very least their minds, your wife, your parents, your brothers and sisters. All will be stripped away, tortured to death, perverted, or turned against you.

With that knowledge, are you afraid? What is left to fear? The worst case imaginable is reality. The abyss is present and staring you in the face if you choose to look, laughing. Will you fear or will you laugh back and refuse to go quietly into that good night? There is hope as long as one man left remembers the truth. Don't let it flicker out quietly on your watch.

I'm resigned to dying but still fear failing my dependents. Of not being up to task.

I haven't had mil or combat training. I'm not rich. Not strong or fast.

I'm aware of imminent dangers but am inadequate

Like the other guy said, what's your thing? Some of us have mil training but maybe you know how to build a network from spare parts or how to build a generator. Maybe you can hack, or you're an outdoorsman who knows what you can use for food. Being well versed is important. Like the saying goes:

“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. "

Years ago I ran into a guy that I went to school with. He asked about my time in the military then stated " I would have been Special Forces if I had joined!". Of course he had no clue about the effort required to accomplish that. I asked him " are you good at taking shit?". He replied " I dont take shit from anybody!". I laughed and said " If you want to be Special Forces you take shit every day for a year". he had no comeback.
