Okay George Carlin, stop recycling old material.

If George Carlin came back from the dead I wonder what pithy, amusing observation he'd have about the afterlife?

The Seven Words You Can't Say In Hell, perhaps?

If he did an HBO special today it would be nothing but 2hrs of him screaming at the audience to just kill themselves.

"Nope. fuck off, put me back."

Planes got near each other and missed

George Carlin made that same observation decades ago.

Why do they call it preheating the oven? It's just heating.

To differentiate from placing the prepared item in the oven and then turning the heat on. It may sound silly to have to make the distinction but if you've never used an oven before you'd probably do exactly that, and for many recipes it's necessary for the oven to be at temperature before putting the item in.

Watch some George Carlin sometime

That is so true.

Officially, a hit would be an incident, a near hit is a miss.. and a lesser incident. Like baseball, a swing that almost connects is a miss.
