Is there any new (not classic or antique) car, not too exotic, anybody would buy for at least somewhat of an asset? If you had maybe $40,000? People are looking for assets, afraid of cash.

You might be better off buying a well taken care of truck. My buddy kept his Chevy truck in mint condition from the 90 s and it didn't cause him any problems.
