So my military has decided to make the shot mandatory. It's not yet fully known when the cutoff date is, but I've heard of people in other brigades being ordered to get it on December 6th even though, like I said, officially it's not known when the requirement officially comes to pass.

So there's two options, because getting the shot isn't one of them.

  1. Dishonest: get a fake pass, get by for another six months until you need a booster and who knows if you need some kind of digital proof by then. That would raise red flags as to why you don't want the booster which will be required. Or maybe it'll be illegal to get it outside of the military. So you're buying yourself six months at most.

  2. Honest: Say no and hope they let me go on at least a general discharge. Worst case I get a monetary fine which will be in the thousands and then again a fine and again until they give me disciplinary arrest and then military jail with dishonorable discharge for disobeying orders.

I'm one of less than 20 in my company (150ish soldiers) who aren't vaxxed and I'm thinking most of them will take it. A few might do a fake pass.

Are there any options I'm missing? Religious exemption doesn't exist here. Laywer is pretty much pointless and just a hassle at this point, you wouldn't sue in communist Russia so why bother here. Another thing with the fake pass, you will be used for corona help centers and so will end up contact tracing which I can't morally support and that might lead to rounding people up like in Australia.

My wife says to just refuse and take on whatever punishment. We're Christian so she's probably right. Getting a fake pass is like half cucking because I don't have faith that God will somehow get me through. On the other hand you wouldn't put it past someone in commie Russia to fake a pass 50 years ago to avoid jail.

But I think she's right, we need people to stand up and say no.

Oh another thing, if I get myself another 6 months and evrything goes well I'd be able to finish getting an MOS which would be of great use in a civil war.

Obedience to the Lord in that we as believers are not to lie. This then upholds the example that we are to present to each other in order to uphold and encourage virtue. As to unbelievers who observe our integrity as compared to the world: they get lied to enough, they might get sick of the world system. If they participate in lying, they too will receive consequence for their actions.

Obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and to follow the conviction of the conscience. It is good that you have some concern about lying. It is wonderful that you are prepared to stand by the decision that you must make. Be the man that your family needs you to be. That you stood up and were honest and unafraid. I also do not hear hate nor resentment in your post, but even some calmness and prayerful consideration.

Obedience brings blessings. We are infinitely loved, therefore we cannot "earn" more love from Him. But we can bring Him increase of joy over us and to please Him, by being in obedience.

The world hates the word "obedience". Only a believer, by His Holy Spirit indwelt, can comprehend to some degree what obedience really is.The world abuses this principle of obedience. It instead compels rather than elicits right use of free will. While we may receive worldly penalty for obedience to God and also being true to ourselves, one cannot even imagine the hidden blessings and protection from living in a manner like Christ. You will, i believe, find yourself rewarded in some manner, some favor, when you do not lie and TAKE A STAND.

I pray wisdom for you, discernment, and to truly follow the choices that you believe that the Lord would have you make. I do not know what that will look like. Not for me to say. But i believe that He will let you know.

I do rather agree that it is for THEM to let you go, should you refuse the vaxx. I am likely facing the same choice. It is rapidly coming to that. They desire to inject urgency and us to preempt with hasty action, so as to pull us in. Take the time you need. Dont do them a favor, i would opine that it is for them to let you go, not you let go of them.

Godspeed and the Lord bless you and your fam in this wicked world. Our actions are FOR God and not AGAINST those who knowingly or ignorantly serve evil. There is divine justice for that. We need more like you who desire to follow His lead.

Addendum to this previous comment: Very important the aspect of honorable vs dishonorable discharge. It is important to consider the consequences of the latter if it is threatened to be imposed. Not a thing to sneeze at. Seek wiser counsel on this. I do agree with the aspect of choice to refuse the vaxx and being honest in that. As to the consequences that you would reap, the question would be how that would roll out. Therefore to get clarity on what that would look like. In that i plead ignorance. Be wise as serpents, innocent as doves. In other words: Be savvy and remain blameless.

I believe that you will feel God's Peace when you do arrive fully at your decision/choice.

While i respect entirely your choice, however that turns out to be, i will say from experience that when i have been faced with a very important, life altering choice... when i have conversed with Him (prayed), and listened, and was willing to follow His guidance, He then imparts a certain type of peace. The peace that comes from accepting His lead in the matter.

That is the indicator for me. Supernatural peace.

He does desire the best for us. Even in the storm, He will show us the way. I pray the best for you, in any case. In Jesus' Name.
