Dating is not in a relationship. Dating is looking for a suitable mate. If she's dating someone that's not technically a red flag, it means she's looking for someone compatible. More people should date more before settling into a relationship as that's a good way to find out if the person you are interested in is a good match, or a crazy commie piece of shit.

Dear Abby did an article about multiple gentleman callers decades ago. It was acceptable according to her, as long as the parties involved are informed. It is a competition for the best suitor to start a family with. I remember feeling like dating was a commitment but really it is not, and compared to marriage dating is no commitment at all.
Marriage isn't even a commitment any more.
