In the iTunes Store app at the bottom there should be a 'more...' option. If you click that and then click 'Purchased' and then click 'Music' all your purchased music should be there. You can then download it to your phone to play. (But yes the ads on it push their new sub music service continually and annoyingly) Also note the 'Music' app should allow you to play the downloaded music from the ITunes Store, and it should also still have supported Playlists. But you could use Vox or other player to play it too I guess.
