Right but that’s exactly the sort of shit that needs to be done at this point. It’s fashionable to shit on Abraham Lincoln but he knew it’s not worth killing the body to keep from amputating an arm. He wanted to keep the republic together, for better or for worse, so he suspend the constitution to save what was left of it.
The constitution is meaningless, just like a contract is meaningless if one party refuses to hold up their end of the bargain. Democrats are NOT holding up their end of the constitution, they have ignored it, they used it for toilet paper and Trump sat there and watched them do it. They have made the constitution meaningless because they won’t follow it.
He watched them violate the Constitution daily for months, now it has been years, over Covid hysteria. He should’ve used emergency powers, and arrested those governors on the spot, the very day they violated the rights of their own citizens.
Those governors should. Have been. Arrested.
He doesn’t have the balls to do what needs to be done.
Again, hate Abraham Lincoln all you want, he had testicles the Trump never has and never will.
>They have made the constitution meaningless because they won’t follow it.
No, it's much worse than that. They only follow it when it suits them. The rules it emplaced only bind us, not them, because we're the only ones who follow it. Which means it's just a rhetorical cudgel, not a contract. As Lysander Spooner showed, it's got no authority as a contract since no one alive has had any part in signing it.
On top of that, there's no enforcement mechanism other than the implied mechanism of secession which Lincoln negated. Is Joe Biden going to arrest Joe Biden for stealing an election? Unless there's some spelled out process by which "we the people" are supposed to act, "we the people" are just an unlawful mob and the corrupt scum that floats to the top is the lawful symbol of the democratic will of the people.
The constitution should burn with the fag flags that our embassies now fly. It was a mistake to ever trust our land to be ruled over by lawyers and merchants.
