They couldn't pay their bill and i was talking with my father about just paying their bill for the next payment cycle of 3 months. It could help them out and also keep the neighborhood looking clean. We wouldn't ask them but just do it, then put a note in the mailbox stating anonymously what we did. Is this a retarded idea or an ok idea?

Yes. However where on fucking EARTH do taxes not cover garbage pickup? This is absurd to me.

We get county dump passes when we pay our property taxes. It's included automatically. We take it ourselves although there is service for a fee for pickup by private company. It's been nice since we've been doing a lot of remodeling and projects. They take almost anything and some hazard labeled material by appointment.

In the states I've lived in I've paid the city monthly water/sewer/garbage. Obviously no water/sewer now out in unincorporatedville, but still monthly for the county sanitation pickup.

I suppose there and super wealthy gate communities that want no part in city / county services. That's just odd to me.
