WTF is crypto for if not to control yourself. If it's on an exchange your on a clock until you lose it. Go back and check how many times people lost everything on HUGE exchanges.

You've been able to buy these units for many years. They're totally fireproof, waterproof etc.

I use a Ledger. Get the bigger one if you plan to do anything other then bitcoin/eth, the nano doesn't store alot of different coins because it doesn't fit the apps for them. You can use fixedfloat.com to exchange different cryptos wihtout transfering to an exchange (and thus avoiding KYC)

Ledger and Trezor are industry standard. I'd stick to Trezor these days. Ledger personal info has gotten leaked on multiple occasions. Outside of these, if you're looking for software wallets, Trust Wallet is a big one and there's more but I don't really use them and don't care. If you aren't retarded extensions like MetaMask are usually fine, but there's competition emerging via the likes of xDEFI
