Seriously, i just talked to my one friend who'se paying 30,000 for the venue alone. When i got married, the most expensive part was the wedding cake, and even then, my wife and i felt guilty that my mom paid so much for it. I think the total wedding cost for our home wedding was a whomping 800 bucks. It just blows my mind people spend so much for formalizing what is a piece of paper

Merchants used to give you discounts because it is your wedding. Now everything is double because it's your wedding.

Double? Hah, its at least 4x now. A fucking cake is $1500 and still tastes like shit. Fucking flowers are like $5000. Shithole venues want 20k for 6 hours. The whole thing is a big fat scam.
