I feed my dog lean ground beef, steak, red meat, most any kind of meat. For beef and chicken i usually cook it first to make sure its not raw, but im not entirely too convinced that the dog can't eat raw chicken or pork. When i talk to people though, people wrongly assume i'm feeding my dog "human food". The first time i heard this, it confused me. Because meat is not human food, its just food or really animals, that humans happen to eat. And there are tons of animals that overlap their diet on top of humans. One would never claim a rabbit eats human food, but humans eat rabbit food. No one stops to question its just food shared by both species. Do people just think dogs a hundred years ago had access to dry food like today? No, those doggos had to hunt, and feed themselves, or rely on the scraps of theowner. The stupidity of clown world makes my head hurt

My dog just killed a monkey. Explain the difference.

Your average pet dog is hundreds of generations from anything that hunted in a pack or survived away from humans. Most couldn't do that. Also wild dogs eat raw meat because they have to. Wild dogs don't live to be 10 or 12 years old. If they ate meat with bad bacteria on it, they could get sick, too.

Not in the country I live in. There are packs of wild dogs running around now.

I realize they exist. Most people's pets are not captured wild dogs but bred from other pets. There is also a difference between wild dogs and feral.
