This time with the threat of termination for non-compliance.

What would you do?

Edit: I work for a municipality, btw. So, it's a small, local government making these rules.

Mask up, pretend to pass out, fall hard, go to hospital, stay home with work comp.

This is the correct answer. And to keep from passing out for as long as you can, work very slowly and try not think as both actions use a lot of oxygen. Better to be safe, your employer demands it.

What about using a mask with many small holes in it?

Like enough so you breathe fine but not large enough where anyone can really tell?

[–] 3 pts

So just a mask, then.

[–] 1 pt

No, like a cloth mask but you use a pin and poke a ton of extra holes in it, basically make it actually breathable.

There's a fishnet mask and a cloud mask on sale online.

I made one last year out of the leftover bit of the roll of fiberglass screen when I fixed the front door.

Very comfortable!

Many long years of health to you!

This is how the rest of our lives will be. In case anyone hasn’t figured that out yet.

There will literally never again be a time when any authority tells the public they don’t need to wear masks.

Yes or until people stop complying. The choice is yours

[–] 6 pts

The choice is not mine because I am ready and willing to engage in noncompliance. But like you said it takes large groups to be effective.

It may not seem like one person non complying will do anything but the point is to lead by example and people will follow. Even if just everyone on Poal didn’t comply it would be a start and would encourage others.

I wasn't going to post this here but honestly it will make me feel better. I am making genuine moves to prepare to leave a career I have spent my whole life in. I'll be giving up a great salary, pension, and benefits. My priority is to make sure my family is taken care of but I won't compromise on forced injections, travel and business restrictions, and totalitarian edicts from people I didn't vote for.

So you're fine with edicts from (((elected))) officials then?

[–] 3 pts

No I think your pulling too much out of that... Obviously there are legitimate functions of government that may fall into this, like not traveling to Iraq or Syria or a warzone or something. I'm sure there are others that are legit.

My job started requiring the jab under threat of termination. We have until sometime in September to comply. I'm not taking it so I'll be looking for a new job in the next few weeks.

[–] 1 pt

Whatever you do, do not quit. Quitting will prevent you from suing them.

[–] 1 pt

Oh no, I'm staying until the deadline and they fire me.

[–] 4 pts

before doing anything rash.

[–] 2 pts

Agreed. Most attorney's will do a free consul

[–] 4 pts

look at france the government required vaxx the whole fucking country shut down due to non compliance

[–] 4 pts

Probably just keep working until they fire you

[–] [deleted] 8 pts

Ask for written documentation regarding their mask policy, including their rationale. When (or if) they fire you, file a lawsuit for wrongful termination as there is no science anywhere that says a typical mask stops a virus.

[–] 3 pts

Wrongful Termination litigation very rarely ever prevails,if your employer requires you to wear a mask, safety glass',protective gloves, they usually present it in a way so as to make the rules LOOK LIKE they are for your protection, which is very hard to prove otherwise;in court.

Use your head!! COMPLY or get fired.

[–] 4 pts

I would ask for evidence that masks do anything. They don't have any.

[–] 3 pts

Stand up for what you believe in. Character and integrity are more valuable than any job ever. Non compliance is the only way this stops. Request to work from home or get a doctors note, religious exemption etc. there are ways around it but honestly why the fuck do you want to work for the government anyway?

[–] 3 pts

This is when you say, "learn to swim."

[–] 1 pt

Boss, we are going for a free helicopter ride! Of course, you're invited!

[–] 2 pts

Ask for a rational reason why. CDC and NIH both funded studies that say masks wont work.

The MASKS themselves say they won't stop or protect against viral pathogens.

Do you have a union? Legal resources?

Do most of the people in your business at least have the sense to see the ludicrous nature of their demands?

Find out exactly who mandated the 'law' to you. Find the point of accountability, and put the pressure on that.

[–] 0 pt

No union. No legal resources, besides what I pursue personally, and I may. I'm on vacation right now, so I have some time to decide what to do.
