Im in australia but i keep hearing on this site about food shortages. i grow peas but not many, only like 30 sprouts.

which can goods should i buy. or should i just rely on peas.

(Assuming this isn't a troll) If you are trying to do it with just field peas, you will need about a half an acre. Canned goods aren't great for storage. They are great for people who can't cook. If you have a grain mill, wheat berries are one of the best ways to store flour. Rice practically stores itself, as long as you give it a good freeze to kill insects and keep it airtight. You could stretch your peas a LOT further with a hundred pounds of rice or more.

Your hardest thing is going to be getting fat to round out your diet. Without fat, you'll die of rabbit starvation. Get some of the Red Feather canned butter (should be easier for you to get than it is in North America) and maybe Bega cheese too. (Both are hideously expensive for us because of shipping and rarity.) Also make sure you put away salt and some multivitamins.
