Prices probably should be more like what they were in 1990. I would like it even if prices were more like what they were just last year. We may be going into hyperinflation soon, then even you will understand. Your mother actually does have good reason to complain a bit.

It's a valid complaint. Her issue is that she thought the prices were unusual. Much like how the Boomers think kids are going to schools that are 99% white.
