The problem with olds in general is they don't understand change. My mother paid $12 for a fast food meal two weeks ago and hasn't stopped talking about how expensive it was. To her prices should be what they were in 1990. Same with boomers, the world they imagine we live in hasn't existed for at least 30 years.
You can understand change and still not like it. Inflation is one of the instruments of the Central Bank and Powers that Be, which is used as a tool to enslave us. Prices probably should be more like what they were in 1990. I would like it even if prices were more like what they were just last year. We may be going into hyperinflation soon, then even you will understand. Your mother actually does have good reason to complain a bit.
It's a valid complaint. Her issue is that she thought the prices were unusual. Much like how the Boomers think kids are going to schools that are 99% white.
