31 trillion digits is mind blowing precision, so would it matter if it did repeat after that many digit places? Is there some other property of Pi that would make it repeating become significant? Does it really matter at this point whether it repeats or not?

Well maybe the secret to pi is not in a 2 8 10 or 16 digit numbering system but something like a prime number is needed to figure pi more simple like 7 digits instead. I don't know if anyone has even tried this with other numbering systems besides decimal or binary or hexidecimal yet.

Pi is transcendental and leads to an infinite string of digits in any integer base.
